On 2 November 2023, CircuBat will host its second annual conference at the EMPA-Akademia – Center for Knowledge Transfer in Dübendorf, Switzerland. The research project aims to create a circular business model for lithium-ion batteries used for mobility purposes by connecting major stakeholders along the battery lifecycle, who are working together on several sub-projects ranging from material recovery to cell manufacturing, first and second life as well as disassembly and recovery.
Battery Pass will contribute to the conference in form of a keynote on the upcoming EU battery passport. Stephanie Schenk, project lead of the Battery Pass consortium on behalf of system change company Systemiq and Patrick Gering, deputy head at Fraunhofer IPK and technical working group lead of the Battery Pass consortium, will present the concept of the battery passport, its requirements and how it can support sustainability and circularity objectives through transparency.
