The Battery Recycling Conference & Expo 2023 is an essential event for battery producers, recycling companies, critical raw material suppliers, and the entire battery supply chain. It provides an opportunity to explore the latest innovations and solutions for creating a circular economy for used batteries and promoting sustainable supply chains for the future. The Battery Pass project will be well-represented at the conference, with several speakers from consortium members discussing the technology.
The main focus will be on the Battery Passport, which is the first of many Digital Product Passports intended to accelerate the twin transitions of digitalization and sustainability. By consolidating critical data about product composition, circularity parameters, and carbon footprints for businesses, governments, and consumers, this emerging technology will establish the foundation for sustainable business practices globally. The technology is being advanced both at the EU level through regulation and at the global level through multistakeholder activities.
The Battery Pass project has produced the first guidance for developing Battery Passports, as required by the upcoming EU Battery Regulation. In collaboration with global leaders in battery passports, such as the Global Battery Alliance and Catena-X, the group is Europe’s most advanced organization working to shape the emerging technology.
If you’re interested in learning more about the Battery Passport, join on June 29:
