We believe that the battery passport can deliver significant value for different stakeholders in the ecosystem. To assess this value, the Battery Pass consortium has dedicated an entire workstream to evaluating the potential benefits of the battery passport for businesses, authorities, and private consumers. This involves identifying use cases for different stakeholder groups, providing a detailed qualitative description of the use cases (including their related economic, social, and environmental impacts), and conducting a quantitative benefit assessment of three selected use cases. Building on our initial consultation on the longlist of battery passport use cases in July 2023, this is a more comprehensive review on the draft of our first publication on this topic.
The objective of the upcoming consultation is to validate the value assessment of individual use cases developed by the Battery Pass consortium. Based on your valuable feedback, we would like to:
• ensure that our assessment is easily understandable,
• identify any potential gaps or relevant additional information currently missing,
• validate the relevance and impact of individual use cases.
