We would like to thank the many participants, who have joined our webinar on the technical battery passport system, which took place on 17 October 2023 from 10.00 – 11.30 am CEST.
The creation, deployment and operation of a battery passport system is a challenging task both from a technological as well as organizational perspective. During the past year, the Battery Pass consortium has intensely worked on the topic aiming to provide a comprehensive overview on what it takes to support the realization of a reliable and seamless interoperable battery passport system.
During the webinar, we presented first insights from our work on the topic over the last year with a focus on highlighting technical challenges. The event was well received with more than 270 participants mainly spanning IT representatives of organisations affected by the battery passport requirements as well as tech-savvy professionals in the realm of battery business.

Following the webinar, a feedback phase will collect further perspectives and comments from the participants on the presented material, which will contribute to shaping the “Battery Passport Technical Guidance” to be released in spring 2024.
