BatteryPass-Ready has released version 2.0 of the Data Attribute Longlist, building on the fundamentals of DIN DKE SPEC 99100 and the previous version 1.3 of the longlist from March 2026. Less than 6 months to go until the battery passport implementation deadline, this update reflects the significant recent developments in the battery passport and digital product passport landscape.
What’s new in v2.0?
The revised version is considering the:
- Final CEN/CENELEC JTC 24 standards (published June 2026)
- Implementing act on the EU registry
- Version 2.0 of the EU Guidance Document: Digital Batteries Passport – data points by category (EU data attribute list by battery category)
- Draft implementing act on access rights to restricted battery passport data
- Draft implementing act on recycled content calculation and verification
- Feedback from the BatteryPass-Ready partner network

The new version of the Data Attribute Longlist includes a new “technical references” tab, outlining and mapping data model specifications to the Data Attribute Longlist.

What’s next?
An updated Data Model aligned with v2.0 has also been published. It represents the foundation for the data schema used within the BatteryPass-Ready test environment to validate battery passport data.
Both the Data Attribute Longlist and the Data Model will be updated again following relevant developments.
