BatteryPass-Ready Test Environment
The test environment supports stakeholders in validating Battery Passport implementations. The platform combines data validation with practical testing, enabling compliance and interoperability requirements to be checked early and reliably.
Validation is performed against regulatory requirements defined in the EU Battery Regulation and the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), as well as applicable technical standards developed by JTC 24.

Battery Passport Data Attribute Longlist v1.3
A comprehensive reference of Battery Passport data attributes, covering requirements under the EU Battery Regulation and the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), additional requirements emerging from JTC 24 draft standards (Q3/2025), and further recommended attributes.
Building on DIN DKE SPEC 99100 and recent regulatory and standardization developments, it provides definitions and supporting data dimensions to help organizations prepare for Battery Passport implementation.
It serves as the foundation for data validation in the test environment. The list will be updated to reflect upcoming developments, with the next revision expected around Q3 2026.
User Stories from a Technical Perspective v1.0
A structured analysis of the Battery Passport and Digital Product Passport ecosystem, focusing on the operational implementation of key business processes aligned with the EU Battery Regulation, the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), and JTC 24 standards (Q2/2026).
The document covers registration, data access, search, data maintenance, and end-of-life handling, translating regulatory and standardization requirements into practical process flows. For each process, it defines user stories with relevant actors, system interactions, failure scenarios, and test cases.
These user stories form the basis for the BatteryPass-Ready test environment and related testing activities.

BatteryPass-Ready Data Model
The BatteryPass-Ready data model is a structured, machine-readable representation of Battery Passport data requirements aligned with the EU Battery Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 and the Battery Passport Data Attribute Longlist v1.3.
The model defines the data elements, data types, and codelists required for a compliant Digital Product Passport (DPP) for batteries.
The data model will be updated in line with future revisions of the Data Attribute Longlist regarding relevant regulatory, standardisation, and technical developments.

Building on a Strong Foundation
The completed Battery Pass project laid the foundation for BatteryPass-Ready. We continue to build upon its core resources – including the Content Guidance, Technical Guidance, and Value Assessment – while aligning our ongoing work with the technical framework defined by JTC 24.
